On the Eve of Fourth of July!
What an amazing time with Gretchen Dowd & Mike DeFalco at the amazing Ashford Estate. This is one of the absolutely incredible Weddings of Distinction properties– whether you’re looking for the beach and shore or a country estate setting, they offer nothing but luxury when it comes to your big day!
With live musicians for their Ceremony and Cocktail Hour, Gretchen & Mike set the mood right from the beginning. A beautiful String Trio played for their Ceremony, and their guests began to mingle over drinks and food over the sounds of our Jazz Quartet— what an excellent vibe!
In the ballroom, it was an elegant party vibe as I opened the room with a young, hip, house soundtrack. The lightscaping was a combination of Finelli Designs’ uplighting and pinspotting, with my Intelligent Lighting- Option 2. A 360-degree spotlight for First Dance, and visual energy all night!
The fun continued well beyond the usual 4-hour reception, as many guests indulged in the AfterParty festivities! This is a trend that’s become quite fashionable, allowing the hosts, guests-of-honor, family and friends to have a completely different kind of party … after the party! The Ashford has an outdoor patio where guests can take in fresh air, light up cigars, and just recap the night. Inside, I get to play an “anything goes” kind of music program: “let’s have a blast because I have a ton of music!”
We celebrated well into the night!

– Live Cocktail Hour- jazz quartet
– Intelligent Lighting, Option 2- programmed lighting with 4 fixtures for spotlighting, dance floor effects, and wash lighting
