A gorgeous Ceremony overlooking the water, as dozens flew thousands of miles to celebrate!
#t2sce Event Recap 06/13/2015

I had the pleasure of meeting Meredith and Jack for the first time well over a year before their scheduled wedding date. They were referred to me by good friend and phenomenal photographer John Arcara Photography. They were also referred by their amazing wedding venue, Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Pt Pleasant, NJ. This illustrates a point I make often and I find to be a helpful piece of advice for planning Brides and Grooms: surround yourself with talented professionals, especially if they’re accustomed to working together, and you’re virtually guaranteed an amazing wedding day!

061315-Arcara1 Meredith Bell and Jack Taylor planned this celebration from 10,000 miles away ( <–  that wasn’t a typo!). Although Meredith has roots in New Jersey, she met one lucky and handsome Jack Taylor while she studied abroad in Australia years ago. Like they say, “the rest is history!”

Our initial meeting in early 2014 was in person on one of their trips to the States. The rest of our planning was done via email and phone calls. The Internet knows no geographic boundaries and allows for this to come together pretty easily. That, and I like to go above and beyond for my clients, so I made myself completely accessible. So all the pieces lined up for an awesome day!

Even more astounding: about 40 of their friends and families actually took the trip from Australia to Clarks Landing to celebrate with these two!  It seems hard enough to get a response card from your Aunts & Uncles a few towns over, so this was monumental! It was a testament to this wonderful couple, their relationship, and their circle of support.

Jack & Meredith were married on the Clarks picturesque terrace overlooking the Manasquan River. I provided microphones for their officiant, a relative of theirs, as well as the perfect soundtrack. Their guests proceeded into Cocktail Hour immediately following, which is practically legendary at Clarks Landing! Once they made their way upstairs to the ballroom, it was showtime!

I can gauge the energy of a room as soon as I open the microphone. And as I welcomed their almost-200 guests on behalf of the
Bride and Groom, I knew it would be an amazing night for them (and me!)! Meredith and Jack also asked me to incorporate one specific line in my opening before introductions: “Make sure you tell them to let their hair down, drink the booze, and have fun!”

Yes, that’s a quote.

And by taking a peek at their guests’ use of #TaylorMade6_13 and the video log in the link below, I think you’ll agree that everyone did just that!

The music programming was Open Format with little restrictions (actually, none!). They both just “trusted the DJ,” and that’s music to my ears! Jack, in his Aussie accent, said several times, “We want you to have fun, Tony, and we trust you. Make them dance!”

So, I did!

An absolutely amazing celebration with smiles everywhere! Thank you so much to Meredith and Jack, and to all their friends and family who danced all night! My thanks also to the talented John Arcara Photography for being fantastic to work with, and for capturing amazing images.
