I had the pleasure of meeting these two super-cool people in April of 2011. Yes, you read that right– we spoke about their wedding day almost exactly one year and nine months before it ever happened! Once we did, there was no doubt for any of us that it would be this much fun!
Clair Palmer and Nick Harmon chose the beautiful Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Pt Pleasant, NJ, as the setting for their celebration. This was a great match since SCE comes highly recommended by Clarks and we’re there quite frequently. Coincidentally, this was personally my third event at this wonderful location in two weeks! The staff is absolutely phenomenal, the service impeccable, and the food … well, you get it.
Being so close to Veteran’s Day was quite perfect, as Nick is part of our Armed Forces. He’d been deployed for quite some time during their planning, and this group was happy to see them celebrating. What better way for me to say , “Thanks for your service” than to give them a night they wouldn’t forget? One incredible surprise during the evening was having Nick’s brother perform a good-luck toast. Through the magic of digital and Clarks’ large drop-down screen, Matt Harmon wished the couple well from Iraq, where he’s currently deployed. I coordinated the timing with Don, our Maitre D’, and created a memory that was out-of-this-world! No one but the Bride & Groom expected this, and it was an uplifting and moving moment for every person in the room.
Additionally, everyone was still reeling from the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, so their guests were more than ready for a seriously fun time! The short vLog will show just how much, so please, take a peek!
Thanks so much to these awesome families for allowing me and SCE Event Group to take part in this day.
Please watch the video, comment and share!
