There are several times throughout the planning process where I, as an event Host, get a good feeling about how the event will go:

  • the initial meeting
  • follow-up meetings
  • the final meeting
  • and when the doors finally open for the Bride & Groom’s guests!

Lauren Kelly & Mike Olszuk gave me several hints that this would be an incredibly fun celebration.

And IT WAS!

Lauren & Mike met with me for the first time, over one year before their wedding date.  We talked a little about music, but more than anything, we just chatted about their vision.  We had some laughs, for sure, but I could tell that (especially) Lauren had a pretty good idea of what she wanted: some quirky moments, a lot of fun, and an awesome time for their guests.

And fun they had!  There were guests on the dance floor all night.  Honestly, I think we touched on music from the 60s to today, and probably everything in between!  Wild Cherry to LMFAO.  AC/DC to Pitbull.  It was that kind of night, and it was awesome!

Their celebration took place at the beautiful Sterling Ballroom at the DoubleTree Hotel, Tinton Falls, NJ.  That was a great head start for them since the staff is excellent!  Alina & Danielle, who head the Catering Department, help plan every details, while our Maitre D’ Nemo runs a very tight and flawless event every time!

SCE Event Group provided some cool services to enhance the ambience: customized Music Production for their Ceremony and Cocktail Hour, Intelligent Lightscaping, including spotlighting for their first dance as husband and wife; and Multi-Media Production for everyone’s visual entertainment.  The highlight of the multi-media production is the couple’s Love Story Montage: a beautiful retrospect set to music, that takes all of Lauren & Mike’s friends and family down the path that got them here today.  Emotional.  And absolutely awesome.

My sincere thanks to Lauren, Michael, and their wonderful families for allowing me and SCE Event Group to be such an important part of this day.  It’s an honor.
