I first hosted an event for the Tamas about 5 years ago. Since then, I’ve played many events for their friends and families. This past weekend, Sound Connection Entertainment and I had the opportunity to do it all over again for Cristina Tama and Christopher Gibson as they celebrated their wedding day.

Cristina and Chris’ first priority was that everyone just have a great time. Cristina was very organized for our final event prep, which I actually really like. At the same time, she asked for my input on a lot of her decisions, and I’m always happy to share. We discussed their Love Story Montage, lighting for the room, and of course … music! There were definitely some cool unusual requests that were fun to work into the program. But for the most part, I was glad to have their confidence in playing the right music.

They never stopped dancing.

In terms of services for their event, I produced their ceremony music as they walked down the aisle and exchanged vows. We also had music for their cocktail hour as Cristina and Chris’ guests mingled over drinks. Then, it was time for the main event: their Grand Introductions! The Grand Ballroom at The Tides was perfectly lit to welcome the guests. We used intelligent lighting to wash the dance floor and ceiling, and to spotlight their Grand Introductions and first dance. We also added just a few uplights near the DJ booth for a dramatic look. Finally, we had two Plasma video displays to show candid action snapshots we take during the reception, and to present the couple’s Love Story Montage.

Take a 5-minute peek into this great time with the t2 vLog below. If you enjoy it, please comment, “Like”, “Favorite”, “Post”, and “Tweet” it!

My personal thanks again to Cristina and Chris, their families, and their friends for allowing me and Sound Connection Entertainment the opportunity to play for their wedding reception.
